Calling All Nurses! RNs, LPNs and NPs, you are invited to attend Nursing Stories & Songs by Kevin Ryan, RN.

Nursing Stories and Songs is a tribute to the nursing profession and includes personal stories and original songs written and performed by Kevin.

Nursing Stories and Songs is meant for nurses, but anyone may attend, so bring a guest!

There will be two performances on Wed, April 23, 2025, at 4pm and 8pm at the Steel Recital Hall on the UPEI campus. Each performance will run about 60 minutes.

You may attend whichever time suits your shift. No advance tickets, and seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

(If turnout exceeds capacity, additional performances will be added at 5:30pm and 9:30pm. Contingency date is Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 4pm and 8pm in the case of inclement weather.)

Nurses in attendance will be offered an opportunity to participate in a research study as part of Kevin’s thesis for his Master of Nursing program. This would involve completing an anonymous online questionnaire following the event.

Please note: Nursing Stories and Songs will discuss themes familiar to nurses, such as death, suicidal ideation, horizontal violence, and judgment, as well as a reflection on the causes of compassion fatigue and burnout in nurses. If you are struggling with your mental health, call the PEI Mental Health and Addictions Phone Line at 1-833-553-6983.
